I love how the original mask is basically a slightly modified Kirk mask. Don’t Trancas and Don Post owe Shatner on “likeness rights” on this same issue?
Not trying to start shit…However,IMO… Trancas is full of shit! PERIOD!!
The only reason they are messing with the Myers mask hobby is because,
the quality of licenced products they produce is INFERIOR!! BOTTOM LINE!
Compared to what the tallented artists produce here, Trancas wish they had
tallent like that! It all comes down to money.
If Trancas really cared about the Halloween franchise, my 30+ dollar hot topic mask woud be a psycho…

Pretty stupid of the company actually considering that it only makes them more money in the end and more fans and hobbyists. Plus all they put out is crap masks. So really they are biting the hand that feeds them because they are complete morons.
I don’t see why people are still complaining, this is only a bump in the road. Just word your listing right, and everything will work out smoothly.

This isn’t as bad as people are making it seem. If you all read what I first said, I think i stated a good idea. Just post a classified with the name and pics of what you’re selling. It’s obvious it’s for sale. Someone will just PM you if interested, just like before. Only difference now is that there’s no price advertised (which could work towards the sellers advantage I think).
Also, I did see multiple posts about making sections private or the whole board private unless you are a member or something.

ya know i recall this happening to another fellow slasher from some campground some years ago and look where he still stands. tall and mighty!!! i do believe this will blow over to some extent. then again, they have already pulled the trigger and dont seem hesitant about firing off a few more rounds to spook us off for good. might be time to get out…

Not everyone’s in it for the long run. A lot of people have gotten sick of all the “drama” on here, which is one of the stupidest reasons to stop collecting if you ask me. It’s just a phase for some people.
Making the forum private sounds like a good idea… Kinda like NightOwl now…
All I can say is that no matter what my passion is not distilled. I have spent every day on this site watching and enjoying every single aspect of this hobby. I cannot help but feel like a Star wars fan that was standing in line at a premier that got gunned down in the sidewalk by George Lucas himself. I know that i have not made a lot of posts on here but I have been on this site every single day since i joined just being extatic about what I have seen and just spending time with people who share the same passion for this hobby as I and I am truly saddend by the news of this morning. I recently moved far, far away from home and this site has weirdly become my favorite bar, my friend and my link to all that i love. I thank you all for being here to keep me sane, extatic and motivated. Your gonna have to slap the clay from my cold fingers before I quit sculpting buddies cuz we will never just plain stop.

We all knew this was going to happen. I got the phone numbers of everyone I ever bought from so this won’t affect me in any way at all. As for selling masks on the boards thats understandable they don’t want it in public view. Think back a couple years before the internet or cell phones and get smart about acquiring new masks. Thats all anyone needs to do. By crying about this you only look weak in their eyes publicly!
Exactly Scott! We all have other ways of getting in touch with one another, especially through Facebook. And like I said, it’s not hard to just PM someone. Most of us know who to go to and where to find them for the masks we want.
Exactly, if anything this will weed out the guys flooding the market and the prices of our indie masks will go up in value.
