read the whole thread. WOW. I guess my question is this, who actually owns the kirk liscense. If this movie was made on a pretty low budget to begin with do you think that they paid Rodenberry a royalty to use the kirk mask? I doubt it. Oh well, this stinks.

Great, just when I was thinking about unloading some things. Ive lurked this forum for many years mainly because I considered its classifieds section superior. Derek you’ve done more for the promotion of Halloween franchise than Trancas ever could, and I support your decision. Talk about a black eye to the true fans of Halloween. I will never purchase anything else they stand behind. Sad day indeed.
Tommy is exactly right! The more people talk about ways to get around Trancas and still sell stuff, the more NEGATIVE attention it will bring to this place. So, if you truly care about this place and do not want to see it shut down, just drop it and move on. The ruling has been passed down on this place about the Classified section, and no matter how much we talk about it, it is not going to change. This is what had to happen for this place to still exist, period. We still have all the other sections, an abundance of members, great photos, great topics and great people…let’s enjoy those things.
Donnie makes a great point everyone. Lots to do on this site other then selling masks. I just saw the film Duel for this first time because of this site (Thanks Steve!)

I was thinking the same thing. Totally killing a major part of being a Michael Myers fan. If anything Trancas is shooting themselves in the foot, by constantly ridding and pressing the long time fans on the Franchise.

Theres not much more they can do.I truly hope trancas cant take our right away to discuss something on the internet.(LOL)Trancas has accomplished what they wanted to already.I know its a hard job for you Mods right now ,and I appreciate everything all of you do here.When you mess with something that people are passionate about you will definitely hear peoples opinion about it.I think Ive sold 1 or 2 myers mask since I joined here so it doesnt hurt me at all for there not to be a classified section.I just dont like it in general that a company would want to run off their fans.Granted they have every right to, but I bet you every member here at one point bought mass produced mask,countless movies,figures ,posters and numerous other things.I know I bought mass produced mask before learning of other options.I never will again though.

If you guys feel that strongly about making a statement then do not buy any masks licensed by Trancas. Boycott them

Unfortunately, that won’t matter. Millions are sold each year wether they miss out on the few hundred that would be purchased by members here or not.
Trancas will find everyone allowing the sale of Myers masks and put a stop to it, period. There is no sense in starting a new forum. As soon as it becomes known, it will be removed. They are cracking down guys. Nothing we can do.

Just a thought and don’t lash out at me for stating such as I’m offering a possible solution, but does anyone know if a possible deal could be worked about pertaining to royalties and this site/selling of masks? I wonder if they had a profit and an agreement in place that they would be more acceptable? Isn’t that what this is all over anyway?
