Funny thing is that it will just make the masks sell at much higher prices where they can be sold, as people want what they can’t have even more so. Masks will raise in value and be harder to find, thus sell even better. So yeah pretty stupid and greedy tactic that will only backfire on them.

Warner Bros. has been doing this for some time with the Batman community. Ive received 3 different C&D’s over the years for selling cowls. However, I can honestly say theyve never gone to this extent to try and eliminate all outlets for collector trades.
Yah I have seen that and heard of it, but is this a company or studio that doing it?

Some of you really need to shut up. Plain and simple. Publicly posting about going elsewhere to sell masks is shooting yourself in the foot. The Trancas people are members here and can see what you are saying.
We’ve all done that already because the licensed masks are shit, so we can’t exactly boycott by not purchasing when we don’t now ,nor ever have?? That’s where the Indie masks came into play…so maybe Trancas should hire on our beloved Indie Creators and put out some “licensed” masks that are worth buying!!

They did not even come with the name Michael Myers either, they stole it from another guy named that who had nothing to do with the film. Ironic? You should be allowed to sell any mask you want as long as you do not claim it is an official mask from the company. They are just mad because their crap don’t sell like the good masks do. But they probably make a lot more money in mass sales anyway and from fans who don’t know any better. When fans see good masks out there they buy more Halloween stuff period. You shut that down you kill your own sales. I would never let them force me to delete a classified sections. Will eBay delete their site for them? No way. They just want everyone to wear their crap masks on Halloween that they put out quickly to make a quick buck.

And if you did not delete it they would delete your whole site…if you had one. It was either remove the Classifieds or the board would be gone. I think Derek made the right choice.

I feel you there Jon. I talked to Donnie on that one and he made a good point that this being mainly a Myers site and 90% of what is sold in the classifieds is Myers masks that there’s no real way to regulate what is sold in the classifieds. Because we constantly have newcomers and most of them do not read the rules so they will post want ads or selling ads for Myers not knowing it’s now a no-no.

Yeah they are just trying to use intimidation tactics. How exactly can they shut the site down for just having a clasifieds section? They can’t, it was only done to save the mods time searching all the posts. That us what these morons want, easy compliance. They ought to know they are not going to stop people from sellings masks completely so why bother? Much like Myers himself artists will not die. Now people will be stuck with masks and not have any options for new ones, at least not as easily. They will just lose interest in the hobby and trancas will lose more money. I have a feeling Jason and Freddy stuff ill pick up soon unless they are next.
