75' Kirk Roll Call: 2026 Edition

The problem is that the Kirk fleshtone can change drastically from the different lighting, because a lot of older shots will be done under warm light, and cameras are not made how they were back then, you can see it with PH’s kirk under different lighting, alongside the Toyfair Kirk

I have it saved on my hard drive, a copy of the original video that was removed off youtube

If you can’t post it here maybe PM me?

Another thing: I think the Toy Fair Kirk looks like butt. I would prefer a recast of an earlier SC Small rather than that digital “restoration” of it. It looks strange to me.

It was resculpted back into detail and came from the actual mold which Payton owns

Even with the digital sculpting as well, it did still come out of the original mold, upscaling that, is no easy feat

The most preserved Kirk out of them all, has to be Darrens kirk, can only imagine how dry that latex is though, these are the highest resolution shots we have of it too

He never wanted a million. He put it out there to entertain offers.

Eh. Shame that it’s lost so much detail even foamfilled. Theres older photos of it and it still has its cheekbones

I mean, a few people offered $20k+ and it didn’t sell. What I wonder is how and why Chan got rid of it.

If you are referring to Darrens old Kirk. There is no photo of it not foam filled. Bigcat owned it before Darren and had it foamed along with his Spock. Story goes Pete went to a convention and saw The Spock bought it and the seller said he had a Kirk at home. Pete bought it too for I believe $400 what at the time he thought was pricy. After He sold it, another Kirk from I believe Morris costumes popped up and Bigcat bought it as a replacement. IMO Darrens/Petes Kirk is the very best example of an unaltered 75 that has surfaced.

“Darren’s old Kirk” being this one, right?

I know Big Cat Pete’s kirk as THIS one. My personal favorite in terms of preservation. Though I haven’t seen any recent photos. I wish the nose wasnt squished lol.

Darrens old kirk (top picture) was Bigcats (Pete) originally and no photos have been posted or possibly even taken of it not foam filled. The bottom picture is of the Kirk Pete replaced it with which was not foamed when sold to him. The nose was smushed in, but the latex was still very much pliable and was reshaped more accurately along with a foam filling. I agree with you that the paint and hair is probably the best example we have left, but overall shape might have to go to Darrens old Kirk.

Are there any pictures of the Big Cat (bottom) one before it was foam filled?

I just remembered @Sheriff_Brackett’s more recent Kirk. As of 2022 it looks pretty dang good.

Somebody should get the captain a comb though. I’d love to see more current photos of this mask.

The most intact is Colby’s Master with the shape and all the details, this is it next to Sheriff Bracketts Kirk, from the same master

“Master” how? A foam filled latex pull or a cast?

Even though “Master” is written in marker on the back, It’s to small to be a true 75 master. Perhaps it’s a Blank that they were going to enlarge to make new production molds. This is the same Blank DPS used in court in 1999/2000 so It’s also possible this is a 1998 shatner Proto from a real 1975 production mold.

I dunno if its 98 proto caliber those have a lot of extra surface details. It definitely came from the 75 mold or a derivative of it though
