I thought we were talking about were those production blanks came from?
In any case, I think the Mystery Mask was made during Part 3. A lot of people think the it’s the mask seen in part 5 during the hallucination where Tommy sees Jason standing below his window. However, the Mystery Mask has dark rings around the cheek rivets. In my close up pictures of the mask these rings look like the rings you get from spraying paint over snaps and then removing the snaps. The markings look identical. So, at some point, the Mystery Mask had snaps on the cheeks but were removed for whatever reason.
If this mask was made during part 5 I can’t imagine why they would install cheek snaps, paint it and then remove the snaps. In that hallucination scene the mask doesn’t even have the rivets seen on the Mystery Mask now. I think those were added by the part 6 production crew because this is when the leather straps are installed. Bill Forsche posted a picture of a kid wearing the Mystery Mask while it still had the straps attached on the inside instead of the outside.
One major thing almost everyone overlooks are the eyes on all of the masks made for part 5. All of these masks have eyes with soft or rounded edges. They’re also smaller and look exactly like someone formed over a mask that had larger eyes. This isn’t from just being cut smaller. They are actually formed smaller than the Mystery mask. I’ve personally done this and this is exactly what it looks like. The Mystery Mask has larger eyes and the formed edges are very hard and crisp. When comparing the 2 side by side there’s a very noticeable difference.
Here you said that you don’t think the production blanks originated from the part 4 hero, MM, or anything before part 7- but in these photos, which appear to be yours, a plaster cast from the inside of an 88’ production blank, if I remember correctly, and the mystery mask are being compared, showing similar markings such as paint splatter-linking the two (88 production blank and MM).
Straight from the (previous) owner’s mouth. Literally a copy and paste of what he told me when I asked him about the size of the mask earlier.
“I told you my friend,it is big as a adult himan face…cant be smaller because for actor would be difficult to wear…and it is not much biger…for the same reason!”
It tells us one thing, the picture of his mask measurement was more than likely false like others have stated.
It also tell us that we are at a deadlock with this mask until we get measurements of it. Dario isn’t giving them up, I’ve been asking for a long time. The new owner won’t give them up either. Maybe I can contact the curator of the Hollywood Museum. I have his email somewhere from when I emailed him a while ago.
Dude what’s your problem? You’ve had a condescending tone in nearly every post. Lmao why are you so paranoid? I wasn’t asking because I thought you were lying . Jesus Christ, have you heard of curiosity?
I don’t have a problem and I have absolutely nothing to be paranoid about. That’s literally the dumbest statement I’ve seen from you so far. I came here just to let people know what I know and to talk about hockey masks. However, you don’t seem to believe a word I say. That’s fine with me but I have absolutely no reason to lie about any of this. If you don’t want any information I have then that works for me. I’ll go back to not being involved in any of these posts and keep the information and images to myself.
You’re right. Next time anyone posts something I believe to be wrong I will just not argue the point and believe every word I’m fed- that’ll get the mystery solved!
The closest things you have came to providing any information or helping in the slightest was
and barely some info in your post where I asked what your opinions were on where the Mystery Mask came from.
And then when I posted the plaster cast comparison photo you didn’t say anything at all.
No one said you had to leave, if you have any useful information it would be great for you to post it, but it from your actions and tone it appears that you don’t. In any case, feel free to stop back in if want to contribute something useful, but until then…
