Hmm… well 6 months was exactly yesterday, hence why I’m pretty positive it’ll be out next week at CinemaCon. It’ll probably debut there first, we’ll hear reactions from critics and such, and they’ll upload it a day later or the next week.
I check IMDB but no where near like TOTS. I swear yesterday morning just shook me to the core on how cool the new mask is and i can’t stop thinking about it. I just about give a kidney for a TOTS pic. I wanna see a good front shot.
Can’t wait for the trailer either that sounds great, next week. I bet it’s gonna be sick.
i wouldn’t go off of one film. Most of Blumhouse’s films have a very different creative team, unless it’s a sequel. For example, some of their productions are critically acclaimed like Split, Get Out, and Hush. Plenty of their films are generally well-received, with scores between 65-80s. But they definitely do have some films that aren’t great at all.
However, I think this is a different beast. You have a very versatile and talented director who has done some very good, critically acclaimed films, an AMAZING cast, great set designers, John Carpenter scoring - I think it’s safe to say that no matter what happens, this film will will definitely end up 65 or above.
I don’t have a solid opinion on the mask either way, not enough to go on. I’d would have much rather have had him pick up a new one, but if this thing looks or resembles the original(which is all speculative thus far going by that one pic) then it may turn out alright.
I don’t like how the mask is giving off Rob Zombie Halloween vibes, the further away from that horrible set of movies the better imo. And I also don’t like that based off of that single shot, the mask has a sad clown look to it. I don’t dig that at all. I don’t wanna feel sorry for old, depressed, down on his luck Michael. I wanna be afraid of him.
I guess I just need to see the mask /Michael in motion. I wanna know how the flick is lit, I wanna know how the coveralls look, how they fit… If they got the collar flip correct. All are big deals in my eyes.
