***Halloween Kills & Halloween Ends Discussion***

Love the mask, my dad wasn’t feeling well and I won’t see it without him. Aiming for tomorrow. Trying to tiptoe around this thread without ruining the entire film and premise

Which scene was Nick’s cameo in Kills?

let people enjoy things lol

So, my post got deleted from myers.net on facebook which made no sense. I removed myself from that group and went to the Halloween kills fans group which has over 188k members and some awesome reviews and discussions… We’ll see if my review stays here. The beginning was the best part. They should have extended it another hour. The rest of the movie on a scale 1-10, was a 4… The beginning, I give an 11…,

I’m choosing to believe that the guy who the mob killed was actually Ted Hollister as an H4 Easter egg.

Is there a place where I can go and chat about this movie with others who liked it?

I’ve seen several people here state they liked the movie. There were parts I liked as well, but I have things I dislike as well. This should be an open discussion and everyone is entitled to their opinion. Unfortunately with so many people today, if their opinion is different than yours, then they’re just wrong to you. People somehow can not see two sides to a story, only their own side and that’s it. My way or the highway attitude. I’ve already stated my dislikes but also admitted that if someone loved the movie, gave it a 10/10, then great, I’m glad they enjoyed it.

If you wanna discuss what you liked here, then go for it. I’m sure others will chime in on what they liked as well. But you have to understand that there will be people who will dislike it too and they’re allowed to have their side of the story from their perspective.

Agree to disagree is ok.
Live and let live is ok.

Halloween Fans on facebook. Lots of good discussions there…

Correct. No one should feel like they can’t express their opinions here. However if people start pushing their opinion as fact and making it difficult for others to share their thoughts, then it will be dealt with. That kind of behavior will not be tolerated around here anymore.

No one should feel like they can’t have their opinion. Please feel free to discuss your likes and dislikes while respecting each other’s views. This is supposed to be a fun place to share our passion for this franchise, and that includes differing opinions from all walks of life.

First watch over all impressions:

Loved how Michael was portrayed in this more than 2018 (maybe it’s the mask; doesn’t look as depressing as 2018)

Flashback scenes were fun and left you wanting more

Some scenes were too long that should have been shorter and vice versa

Little bad acting and too much dialogue at some points

But over all I enjoyed it much more than 2018 and will probably watch it numerous times till Halloween

Love this!!! Lmao!!

Maybe the Michael that faced the mob was actually a paramedic. Michael switched clothing. Oh wait…

I just watched it tonight and I was pretty drunk but I thought it was decent. I was on the edge of my seat the whole time.

Michael definitely had an extremely sinister, scary vibe to me. Being a fan of the franchise, I know Michael is pretty twisted, but…

SORTA SPOILERS

That halogen/tube lightning bulb (not sure what to call it) scene is burned into my brain. I don’t know what it was, but Michael actually scared me in this movie haha

one thing I also just realized, while Ghost does great music, it doesn’t fit into Halloween, this song by Motorhead fits so much better with the theme, especially when played at 1.25 speed

Saw it last night. Went in w/ very low expectations. Was not a fan of Halloween 2018. I came out pleasantly surprised. It was actually pretty enjoyable for a Halloween movie. Much better than 2018. I think it was because it actually felt like a Halloween movie - the atmosphere, the characters, the Myers house, etc. Reminded me a lot of a modernized Halloween II (1981). More gore, the angry mob, the hospital.

One of the strongest elements of the film is the look and portrayal of Myers. They really get it right in this film, both flashback and in modern day. Looking forward to seeing it again. My ranking is quite simple -

  1. Halloween (1978)
  2. Halloween II (1981)
  3. Halloween Kills.

The rest is crap.

Sounds like he’s sleeping lol

But I must admit the more I watch this movie the more I enjoy it. Decently a more entertaining watch over 2018

Agreed! I subscribed to peacock shortly after the theater experience and find myself wanting to watch it again and again

The biggest surprise for me was that Michael Myers likes Anne Murray.
