Appreciate it and what scene is this screenshot particularly from? Can’t really tell what’s going on besides him falling or dodging something. Sorry, I’ve only seen this film one time.
Less is more. I don’t understand what is so hard to get about that. Don’t try and explain the monster. You don’t give the shark in “Jaws” motivation. Same goes for the Shape. I hope they stick to this approach and don’t go all “Irving the Explainer” on the audience at any point going forward. Personally, I think David Gordon Green is being kind of ridiculous when he says that anything Myers goes thru is explainable and thus not supernatural. Come on, man. The beating he took, the wounds he’s got. Don’t kid a kidder.
With that being said, I enjoyed a good portion of Kills, but it is definitely less than the sum of it’s parts. Entire plotlines and characters could of been (and should have been) removed. You can keep it simple without dumbing it down to the point of violence for the sake of violence. I think they muddied the waters a bit with the whole mob and vigilante stuff. It could’ve worked with less of it.
At the end of the day, they got Myers right. And that’s important.
That’s what I think. The bodies are stacking up, and they probably picked a random OR to stick them in until they could get them to morgue. Usually, they’d stick blankets over the bodies for privacy’s sake, but they may have neglected to do so in the chaos.
Well said. Although I liked the movie all in all, the mob parts were cheesy. Also I was really hoping they’d keep Myers human, and not turn him into Jason.
Its been said before, but the movie felt longer than it was, and not in a good way. This is due in no small part to those portions of the movie that should have been excised. Kills was unfortunately less than the sum of it’s parts.
What’s everyone’s prediction for ends? Do you think Michael is captured again or somehow escapes the house without being seen and goes into hiding? I’m interested to see where they take it with such a time jump
I think he gets captured again, and given that Jason Blum mentioned Ends would take on a political tone and deal with the pandemic, I think mental health will be a story. If Michael were to be captured, does anyone really think he could be found fit to stand trial? I just read an article that Ends will also take a 4 year jump in time, so I definitely think he is incarcerated again. I don’t think he’s the kind to go into hiding just anywhere. He seems to only want to be in his house and I don’t think he’ll be able to hide out there.
Hey, everyone! I’m new here. I’m a big fan of the series and I have tickets to see “Kills” with my boyfriend and sister this upcoming Sunday. I will say that I’m nervous about all the blood and gore. I know it sounds ironic being a fan of the series, but I don’t deal with over-the-top violence that well. Is the movie that bad when it comes to violence and gore? Thanks, everyone!
I have to weigh in. I did not really like H18 much, it portrayed Michael well but the characters were obnoxious and I didn’t care about a single one. The writing was terrible (especially from a dialogue stand point) too many winks and nods to the original and the acting was abysmal (aside from Curtis). My problems with the H18 film are the SAME problems I’m having with the new one. I don’t care about these characters, they’re not intelligent, they’re not interesting, too many corny skit like jokes that are unnecessary and strange, terrible and I mean TERRIBLE dialogue, like even worse than H18 by a country mile and that’s really saying something. More horrendous acting from most of the cast and about the only thing they did right was Michael. I appreciate that these films are trying to be more serious than a lot of their predecessors, but they also aren’t much better. Halloween 5 is a more entertaining film than both of these and I’d be more apt to watch that than these. Currently ranks 8th place for me.
I get the feeling that “Ends” will have the Shape having basically vanished (again). Considering he’s “transended” , he’s basically a ghostly terminator at this point.
