He was just a long time troll on the board that harassed people and I’m sure he’d take up the chance to spoil things LOL! He sent me so many crazy racist messages! :<
I doubt it’s the trailer, as Ryan Turek hasn’t tweeted the pumpkins yet. For H18 he tweeted 8 pumpkins signaling 8 days until the trailer (H3 nod also)
I dont think its a trailer either but theres loads of other good stuff there could be…The trailer is probably still another couple months out…Really dont see that being released before June
We shall see. There’s murmurs about it in the film blog verse. Of course, things change, especially now and with Candyman being pushed back (which is probably when it was originally supposed to debut), I honestly wouldn’t be shocked if they do a surprise release.
I’m fully expecting just a poster though, and anything else is just the cherry on top. But it is interesting that HalloweenMovies interview with Chris will end with Part III revolving around Kills. Their last interview with Chris regarding H18 went up the day before the trailer. Plus, I wouldn’t see the point on working on it now, especially during a pandemic, if it wasn’t coming sooner than usual.
I’m not sure. I’ve heard a date from a friend but I don’t want to go screaming that out as gospel as if I know anything concrete, that’s not right nor is it fair. It’ll come when it comes, I’ll be just as excited whenever it does!
I think just by seeing the grisly kill count in H’18, you have to know that the whole town of Haddonfield is going to suffer in the next two films. I mean Michael obviously isn’t stuck in the cellar anymore. This is a trilogy that has only just begun, and based on the carnage in the first of the trilogy, you can take it as a sign of what’s to come.
Just imagine, Haddonfield is still hurting over the four murders that happened 40 years ago. I’d imagine that by the time this trilogy is over, Michael would have claimed about 55+ more victims! Just imagine how destroyed this town will be after that??
I really hope Halloween Ends takes a chance to inspect all the damage he has caused and what it has done to the town, rather than just be the finale to the saga of Laurie and Michael.
It’s almost as if Michael, upon breaking out, said: "Happy Halloween haddonfield. It’s been 40 long years but the boogeyman is finally back. You better brace yourselves because I I’m about to make up for lost time and have some serious killing to do! You all thought what I did in 1978 was bad?? Haha! That was just foreplay. You haven’t seen anything yet.
I think the only reason Laurie managed to escape his grasp is that Michael didn’t want to kill her behind a door, not even being able to see her struggle to her last breath. He wanted to savor the kill. Idk imo I actually enjoyed the Laurie and Michael fight scenes, I think Michael was just intimidating enough and threw enough hits back to where he didn’t feel weak. I mean he charged towards her and pinned her against the wall just so that he could do a little head tilt at her, he clearly had no intention of instantly killing her. Then she tries to stab him with a big ass knife and he catches her hand and turns the knife on her. Once again, he grabs her by the neck and just stares at her, she bites his severed fingers and he literally throws her off the balcony. Immediately after getting shot in the face Laurie tries to stab him in the back but he turns around and swings a fire pick at her, she grabs a cast iron frying pan and swings the motherfucker into his face, and then it takes another big ass wombo combo swing for him to finally fall. Idk about you but this seems like the 1978 fight times 10, I feel like if you liked that fight you should have been able to appreciate this one.
Can I be honest? Something about the new Michael is different from how I felt the original was. The way in 1978 he literally followed Annie all around that house, to the laundry shed, all just to kill her surprisingly in the car. I mean I suppose it was this way with Vicky, but that was Julian complaining that he had seen him.
Maybe the fast pace of H’18 turned me off a little, it was fun and exciting, but it didn’t feel like Michael. He is the babysitter murderer, haunting in the shadows. In H’18 he just seemed on a mission to get as many kills as he could… I don’t know. It took away the shock value of things to see him kill so many people. I think they did an amazing job connecting dots in the best way that they could, but still felt it was a different Michael.
While I agree I think the film was a bit too fast paced, I just don’t think the general audience would have enjoyed 1978 myers in 2020. They simply do not have the patience for it, which is sad. Not only that but, the whole loooooong stalking scenes wouldn’t have worked for the story, everybody is searching for Michael now because they know what kind of threat he is, he had to get as many people killed as possible before some person spots him just wandering the streets lol. Those type of long “following her around the house” scenes have also been done many many times in fan films and they just do not do it for me. It was understandable in the original, but now I’m just like “okay… let’s just get to the kill.” That’s probably because fan film characters are generally unlikeable but idk, it’d be really hard to do it in a modern setting without it feeling like a fan film or parody. I could be entirely wrong though, who knows, maybe Michael will do some stalking due to everyone thinking he’s dead, that would be awesome!
It’s not just fan film characters that are bad, but it’s always the same “what was that? I better go look” Script that makes it boring for me, I wish we got more stalking or even shots of Michael walking around at night killing someone every now and then chasing them
