It would definitely be something new and kinda refreshing, but yeah never gonna happen.
Watched the new trailer and was very disappointed. Michael is a stalker, lurking in the shadows. The tone of the trailer and the violence - its all wrong. I was very vey disappointed with Halloween 2018 as well. H20 was far better
H20 was a nice Scream movie but never felt like a Halloween film. It just had 90s pop horror written all over it. At least H18 had many hallmarks of the original two films, even if it had a few issues here and there. I believe H18 is far far superior to H20
Agreed. On top of all that H’18 had zero suspense and atmosphere. The whole thing just felt wrong, from Michael to Laurie and everything in between.

That’s because H40 IS far superior to H2O in most fan’s opinions. I rarely see Halloween horror fans talking about H20 being better than H4 let alone H40. H2O was definitely made because of the success of Scream and they certainly tried to tap in to that formula. But hands-down the 2018 film tapped far more into the original elements of the original ‘78 story. I think Danny McBride and the people involved in creating that story were the real fans of the original film and I’m glad it was made. I thought they did a really good job. The film wasn’t perfect but it was definitely good and a top 4 easily of the franchise.
It isn’t new, Thanos did it in Infinity War
- It wasn’t a slasher movie.
- It wasn’t the final movie in that arc.
I don’t really get the complaint that H18 had zero suspense. The build up into the credits at the intro, the scene with the kid and the bus, the lead up to the podcasters death, the one shot take, Oscars death, Alyson in the backseat with Michael, Laurie searching for Michael. Could it have a bit more? Sure but it’s not completely devoid of it.
A villain still won
Yeah, but what I’m saying is I want to see Michael win in the final final final battle at the very end. I don’t care if he wins in Kills because we all know he’s going to go on and ultimately be defeated in Ends (Just like Thanos was in Endgame). What I want to see is Michael win in Ends, which would be like Thanos winning in Endgame. Something like that is almost unheard of, especially in a slasher franchise.
Agreed. H20 feels more like the original film because it has a small cast of characters and limits the action to a few locations. While 2018 does the latter, it has way too many characters that are not only poorly-drawn but also, largely unnecessary to the story. Add this to the ludicrous premise that Laurie would become T2 Sarah Connor and you have a film that squandered its tremendous potential: JLC back, Carpenter providing story input, score, and blessing, and the best mask since the original film. Instead, it’s a massive wasted opportunity that claimed it would take the series back to its roots but really just cheapened The Shape the same way H2 and the other sequels did.

H18 was weird for me man…I watch it and dont find myself NOT liking it but there is something about it i cannot put my finger on, The off screen kills really just didnt seem to work for me…Michael grew in height it didnt feel like castle to me…the mask was great but it definitely isnt kirky and the lips, chin and even nose and ears are completely different sculpt and I just felt it should of resembled the original more sculpt wise. The left handed stuff was minor but again it was another odd choice…
All in all…I think Kills will be the movie for me… Although he is an animal in it with possibly not much stalking…It seems like it will be way better
Yeah, but too many want Laurie in the picture, she is unfortunately just a repetitive character at this point, that’s what I loved about Resurrection for killing her off in the first 10 minutes of the film, and yes, Michael should kill the entire Strode blood line, because there is nothing else there, they should move onto Lindsay escaping Michael but then she dies in another film halfway through, with new characters
Hey, you guys rememeber Devonte Huntly? The one who came in here and was starting all sorts of drama. I was watching a Dave McRae video from last year and during a live chat Devonte went in there and offended Dave and Dave let him have it. Not gonna spoil anything but if the script is real and the ending of halloween kills remains the same then many people will be shocked …what the hell is happening with michael myers? There’s definitely something supernatural about him and the ending of halloween kills will have a lot of discussion,definitely get some fans talking (positive or negative)I wonder how they will continue the story with Halloween ends.
