Justin didn’t sculpted the chin or neck stretched, but the face is reminiscent of the stretched look.
That’s exactly what happens. It sucks, but it’s reality and for the price (200-400) most here want it for doesn’t cut it. Artists deserve return. Anything worth doing is worth doing for money.
Well…I’m simply a collector and 60 dollar masks that some people tear up or throw away after Halloween really arent for a serious collector. This piece is. I hope this guy squeezes every penny out of his creation. He deserves it with people drooling and picking at him like he owes them something. I have artists in my family and all anyone wants to do is shortchange them and act as if they’re buying a used car. Personally I’d want a limited run in the hands of people with more money as they may have better means of caring for coveted items. Sure one may argue that is exactly why they wouldn’t care for it because money may be no objecttonthe buyer but I would respectfully disagree.
Although limited runs are good, when hard times hit and someone has to sell their copy, someone who buys it could resell it instantly and overprice it, so yes, he should get all his moneys worth out of the sculpt, but there are still gonna be people that try to flip it for more than it’s worth
Objective value doesn’t exist. Existential value doesn’t translate to the economics of money
