I’ll definitely say that is one of the best Myers masks I’ve ever seen, and the finish is great. Wouldn’t change anything about it! Can’t wait until these are available, but I’m guessing it’s gonna be a madhouse to get an order in lol

Probably way off base on this theory, but this project has certainly been fairly mysterious, so… any chance this is the mask for the flashback scenes in Halloween Kills? It would explain the long periods of no news. We’ve been told the flashback mask is a new sculpt and it would be extremely cool if this amount of effort went into its accuracy. Again, probably way off base, but thought I’d throw this out there for discussion.

Someone on the FB page made the point that it was unlikely Chris Nelson would have gotten into a feud with Nikos, which is a good point. Is it confirmed that Chris sculpted the new flashback mask? All the quotes I remember seeing he just said it was a new mask and not the H18 clean mask, I don’t recall him saying he sculpted the new flashback mask. I may have just missed that though. Anyhow, this is meant to just be fun speculation though, probably fueled by too much sheltering at home.

Also shots of the flashback mask were released months ago and this mask just got completed last week so who knows

Please respect The Somnambulist by keeping your conspiracy theories to yourself. That’s absurdly insular fandom to assume he’s really Christopher Nelson, or that this mask has anything to do with Halloween Kills.

It was said he was just having a bit of fun with speculation. I really don’t think it’s a jab or personal at all, it just comes off like fun speculation due to boredom. Although when you start replying to yourself, it’s apparent the cabin fever is getting the better of you

I for one don’t believe that theory at all, but it’s interesting to read!

Bottom line is he has people talking, and that’s worth it’s weight in gold. I for one would be flattered and humbled to know people might think I’m Christopher Nelson. It would speak volumes about my work.

But no way is this mask related to Halloween Kills.

Chris Nelson is not a sculptor to my knowledge. Other than working with Vincent on the 2018 mask (which was just a retool of what Justin sculpted) I haven’t heard of or seen anything sculpted by him. He did not sculpt the flashback mask for Kill either.

Nothing strange about it, it was simply meant to be a clarification to my earlier post based on input from the FB page. Sorry I offended your personal forum protocols and reinforced your conspiracy theories. Not everyone has the time or desire to have multiple identities for the purpose of stirring up shit on this forum. The whole concept was clearly stated as likely being wild conjecture for the sake of fun. The best days of mm.net being fun are—and I’m certainly not the first to suggest this—behind us thanks to overreactions like yours.
