ToTs rehauls, rehaulers and rehaul tips MASTER THREAD

Thank you man I rlly appreciate it!

It was opposite for me. I’ve done two H40 masks. Both times I tried starting with the dark layer then brushing on the white, which is how the mask was painted for the movie, but just can’t get the dry brushing technique down. I had much better results with the base coat of eggshell white followed by adding layers of dark.

I can’t argue with the results… That looks great!

Thanks. I really like yours too and gotta give you props for dry brushing it.

So murder me if this is stupid but I was thinking about buying a TOTS Kirk and using the same method Tommy Lee Wallace did back in 78. Well I just have one question, everyone knows about the video of him retrying that method on a TOTS Kirk with malfuncsean but to me it didn’t look the same. Ik the TOTS Kirk and original are obviously different but why did it not look so good exactly imo at least.

It wasn’t a TOTS Kirk, it was a NAG mask they used, it won’t work anyways, cause the spray paint will harden and crack, plus neither of the 2 are made like they used to, Plasti dip would better since it actually flexes

I want a really good looking 78 but I can’t spend a couple hundred dollars on a PS78 that’s crazy

The PS78 is just a rushed, sloppy version of the I.D mask anyhow

I’m sorry a couple hundred for a PS 78? Maybe a blank one would run that but last I saw any of those kind of masks they are more like $500+ minimum when they are finished. I was really close to getting a castle 75K but it was right when all that crap hit the fan so I backed out and I’ve since invested in different projects instead. I still wish I had one of those blanks though i’m always really loved it [emoji2371]

I plan on re-doing a 2018 Myers myself. As far as the eyes go, how much trimming is required? It seems as though the eyes on the screen used mask are already pretty small. I don’t want to end up trimming to much away.

The TOTS eyecuts are relatively accurate just require some minor reshaping. They should be the same size as well.

New one just finished for a customer.

That Kills mask looks amazing E.J. How much do you sell them for or charge for a rehaul?

PM’d. Thank you.

Hello guys. First of all i’m italian (its not an excuse but sometimes my english is crap so…)
I really want to start this art of rehauling this bad ass Myers. I saw different rehaul’s tutorial and i have a lot of question about it.
Airbrush is necessary? Can u just rehaul a mask without using the white/brown face layer (just modify) and which method can i use?
And about acryllic colours… brown, black and white for what i saw, but there is a million of shades and brand around The world and i can ship faster without american delivery (1 month or more)
I know that there’s a lot of question, and grammatical error (and other things)
Any help is appreciated

I used brushes, and white, cream, brown, pea green and black acrylic paint. You also need to add a small amount of liquid latex so the paint is permanent.

Some paint the whole mask a dark grayish color, then use white/cream/yellow mixture to ‘dry brush’ on that layer, leaving the cracks dark.

Others paint the mask white/cream/yellow, then use a light wash of grey to fill in the cracks, and wipe away any residue in the lighter parts.

I did the first method-

You can use sponges in place of airbrush.

Thanks for The help guys

So a little update: i mixed The latex with water and a brown/black mix. I decited to start for my first mask with The h40 (The one with a hole on The cheeks) cuz if i start with the kills mask doing wrong i cry (halloween is near)
So watching YouTube only one did the black/brown base for The h40 sooo… any tips for The next steps?

My first time trying a rehaul. It took a few tries to get a melted latex look but I’m happy enough for my first time.
