Would hot glue or super glue work for fixing the TOTS 78 hairline?
Hot glue would melt it, super glue hardens
I fixed mine using liquid latex, which was very easy to use. Simply apply it with a paintbrush and work a bit quickly on each side and you should be good.

My first 2 rehauls doneish, I’d like to try to do more with the hair on the H2 but for my first attempts I’m relatively happy with the results

Elmers rubber cement works great, easy to apply and dries with a soft / flexible finish so you can peel the hair off again if needed without damaging the mask. It wont hurt the latex / rubber of a mask and it’s cheap. I have haired a lot of masks with it.
@Ehathaway the Kirk mask is ok, something about the eye holes look off, but your H2 mask made my jaw drop!! Amazing work all around!!!

Working on a '78 for a customer right now. Should be posting pictures of that one in a week or so.
Just started my first H20 rehaul. Got a good base coat of white down now I’m debating If I’d rather have a more pristine white version or add more brown/dingy colors like the more accurate masks. Any input would be appreciated and thanks for looking!

It looks great so far, I would use off white. a series of diluted light greys for the colors/shading.
But thats just my personsal taste, pristinie white looks too bright or maybe some very pale blue shading
After some thought I decided to try and make a “like new” version of the h20 mask. I never really liked the yellow tint that the Winston hero had, not saying it’s bad just not my thing. I’m really happy with how it’s coming along so far. Hoping to have hair on it tomorrow! Thanks for looking!

Hi all,
Just finished up a '78. Did a re-paint and re-hair, along with slightly shaping the eye holes. Was trying to get a couple good mood shots, but was really liking the natural day lighting (not always the case with a Myers mask haha).
Also including a close-up shot of the neck weathering. I’ve been experimenting with different gradients, as I’m a huge fan of the multi-toned Kirks.

E.J. Recourt here. Here’s a new H40 I just finished for a client. My tip for painting these would be to take a subtractive approach by getting lots of reference pics and basically painting out everything on the stock paint job that is not in the references. I actually paint around the cracks that I want to keep. It’s a tedious way to do it but the results make me happy.

I’m going to leave this eyecut repair guide here for beginners like me who fucked up on their eyecuts while converting or adjusting for the first time, or for advanced makers who didn’t know this trick.
The process goes like this.
Things you’ll need: Scotch Tape - Liquid Latex - a cheap paintbrush (size is up to you) - Vaseline.
Step #1 - take a piece of the scotch tape and make it double sided, then apply it from the inside of the mask onto the area of the eyecut you want to cover/fix. Apply tape entirely around the cut and make the desired shape very small if you’re making the cut smaller.
Step #2 - apply a good amount (not too much) Vaseline to the side of the tape facing out of the eyecut.
Step #3 - start brushing liquid latex onto that side of the tape, stop and wait for it to dry once it’s fully covered, try not to get liquid latex on areas that don’t need it.
Step #4 - rinse and repeat step #3, paint liquid latex onto the piece of tape, and then wait for it to dry once fully covered, and then do it again for a few times until it looks to be the same thickness as the other eyecut or from reference pictures.
Step #5 - once done, slowly and softly peel off the piece of tape from the inside once the new latex is dry enough to where it feels like a rubber/jelly mix. It peels off without taking the new latex with it or damaging the new latex due to the Vaseline applied earlier.
Step #6 - wait around a day, and then, if needed, use a dremel or scissors to adjust the eyecut to the desired shape or size.
Final Step #7 - in order to fix the different color or transparency the new latex will have. either paint the entire mask if you were planning to do so already or carefully paint the new latex the same color as the area surrounding it. Make sure to mix your paint with liquid latex and a small amount of water.
I hope this helps anyone in need of fixing their eyecuts, and helps beginners trying to convert their kirks but messing up on the eyecuts.
At the time of writing this, I don’t have enough tape to finish my ToTs Kirks too large eyecuts, but will update on it soon once I get more tape to finish it with. Use these pictures as a reference.

So is the quarantine bumping prices up on customs? I am seeing a clean version of the h40 from a nobody you tuber going for 250 and a reworked h40 going for 600 dollars.
I know an artist wants to get paid for their work, but those prices for a 60 dollar mask is a little crazy no?
