For anyone, including myself, who might be or are already disappointed with the newest installment, here’s a movie possibility in the future, definitely to be hailed as one of the movies of all time…Evil Morbs Tonight!!!
Thankfully I’m not the slightest bit let down. I knew what to expect going in and I just don’t care. I let the Star Wars Sequel Trilogy completely jade me towards the entire franchise. I didn’t want to collect action figures anymore and besides The Mandalorian, I’m just ambivalent now. Of course I still live the OT, but as whole, I’m kinda over it, I guess. With Halloween, I knew after H40 that this wasn’t MY timeline and I’m fine with that. If you like em, cool, if not you got other options.
They definitely left this movie open for some new stuff. they didn’t explain the radio tower except Corey also had the same interest in it as Michael. They alluded that the evil could infect anyone but funny enough it wasn’t until Corey was also wearing a mask then meeting Michael. maybe they are setting up a silver shamrock movie. Michael was weak but they showed him getting stronger after killing someone like as if he needed it almost like Freddy needing children’s fear. Michael would be weak because he been living in a sewer for 4 years living off trash probably while in the prior 2 movies he was stress out of the hospital with 3 square meals etc.
How in the HELL did 2018 come out and do everything right (for my taste) and they wind up with this junk? I wish DGG would call for an entire reshoot and do this ending right. And by ending I mean the entire movie.
I have been a fan of the Halloween movies since I was 7 or 8 (‘95-‘96) and this movie has, and I hope its just temporarily, absolutely killed my passion for the entire franchise. Maybe Im just bitter but this is NOT how these movies are supposed to go. At all. What a huge letdown man.
All of a sudden that Thorn timeline dont look so bad. Only took me sitting an hour and 50 minutes through that piece of crap to come to that conclusion.
All I can say is THANK GOD this godawful trilogy is finished. It’s been pure trash from day 1. H’18 was awful. Kills sucked. Ends was cringeworthy. What a complete waste of time. Just cringeworthy beyond words. I would literally rather watch Halloween Resurrection and Rob Zombie’s Halloween II over the Blumhouse trilogy.
But look at the bright side… now we can start focusing on the future and where things will go from here. Hopefully a new studio takes over for the inevitable reboot. Good riddance.
